The beginning...
We grew up in different parts of the world (Mexico and Switzerland) and our paths first crossed in Vichy, France. Our love story started in a no so romantic setting, a language school. Little we knew. During the 4 weeks together in classes, we noticed that we feel more for each other than what we could actually say (because french ain't easy! haha). After a memorable day in Disneyland ending with a night full of fireworks! naively and in love, we called ourselves a couple from then on.
Love over the ocean...
Things got complicated since Brenda started her exchange studies in Montpellier (France) and Fedor had to join the military for a whole year!. However, all this did not stop us from spending as much time together as we could. Brenda's stay in Montpellier was unfortunately limited to one year and a half until she had to go back to Mexico to finish her bachelor's studies. Meanwhile, Fedor started his Bachelor's Studies in Computer Science. Every 6 months we reunited in Mexico or Switzerland and discovered more about each other's culture.
He put a ring on it...
After 5 years of living in distance, Brenda came to Switzerland to enter a Master's program and finally be together in the same country. After a few months, the 28th of November of 2020 to be exact, Fedor proposed to Brenda and got the most wonderful answer he could wish for. Yes! I will marry you! In July 2020, we gave each other the first "I do" at our civil wedding in the beautiful city of Bern. Now after six long and very expected months, we finally are tieing the knot for good with God's blessing in our local church in Mexico.
Home is wherever you are...
Looking back it almost seems impossible that we met each other.
Fedor without a clear reason to go to France and improve his french, a language he didn't even like! And Brenda getting the opportunity to visit Europe for the first time, a once-in-a-lifetime chance!
We came from different places, speaking different languages, but only one thing in common, our love for God. We believe our story is not a coincidence.
